It’s impossible to dislike Aaliyah’s music, so it’s no surprise that a lot of refixes of her joints pop up on a consistent basis. However, it’s a surprisingly nice change when someone turns the tables a little bit and pays attention to the other main character in one of her best songs… this is where Tracy Glover Jr. steps in, giving Aaliyah’s angelic vocals a much-needed rest and isolating Timbaland’s hype-up intro into a subtle, yet infectious house number, with his trademark beatbox rhythm chopped up and looped within hollow marimbas and slinky tribal percussion. Glover’s kind of got big things going for him at the moment with his sound being all over the place, so don’t be too shocked when you see this man being repped by big names within the next few months.

Tracy Glover JNR caught our attention about a month ago when he uploaded a track titled ‘Mortal Komtrap’, appropriately accompanied with the very well known gaming counterpart artwork. The tune utilised the catchyness of the original theme song with a rad beat, easily enough for us to wander around his Soundcloudand check out a few more tunes. The returns came quick and fast, with it quickly becoming apparent he was quite the beat-smith, a master of arrangement if you must. His tracks are pretty diverse and we are not going to pigeonhole him into a genre, but here’s a few words from the man himself:
